GOLD

GOLD LEAF

My first piece I created was inspired by nature, that is my main source of inspiration when creating these pieces. I took my camera and just took photos of what I thought would work and came up with this

SWAN LAKE

This is personally one of my favourite pieces; both art and image. The dark tones work amazingly with the gold. It's such a great wall art piece that I do actually have hung up in my family home

GOLDEN BRANCHES

I was inspired to look up more and not down when using my camera and captured this piece that's like a towering tree with the balance of gold and dark blue (near black)

GREEK ARCH

In Greece, there was so many great raw structures like this stone arch that were perfect for created digital art with, the primary colour dark blue alongside the gold compliment each other

GREEK STREETS

The gold amongst the blue in this street image was used as sunlight reflecting of the buildings while the blue tones were used as shadowing

WHITEST SWAN

A piece I made and took in London. The simplicity and choice of colour selection makes you visualise a swan with it only being white/blank space. Our minds filling in the space making us see the swan

GOLDEN GREECE

This greek image and art was created with a lighter tone of blue than the other pieces, with gold breaking up the detail allowing our mind to digest the image with greater ease

GOLDEN LILY

A fairly simplistic piece that uses blue and gold tones to show the lily in a less colourful, more abstract visualisation

SPANISH SCENERY

Very obvious piece as the stop sign is clear and so I used gold to emphasise that it's not part of the landscape; a seperation between natural and artificial

GOLDEN GOAT

An interesting piece with the goat fairly visible - with emphasis on the fur with the blue tones and gold with the horns and background

PUPPY POSE

Another favourite image/art of mine. The gold concrete beneath the puppy's feet as if being pushed away from the epicentre of the piece - the puppy. A nice, clean piece of art

THE DOWER HOUSE

If you've attended a university or have lived in Bristol, you probably recognise this building. This is another example of the use of gold to protray sunlit surfaces while using the dark blue tones as shadowing

CHILLING TOAD

Holding a toad isn't the most exciting experience but it's definitely an experience. I've, again, used the gold to seperate the image to create a contrast that is balanced between light and dark areas of the image

GREEK PEAK

A very comfortable piece, the peak is central with the sloping landscape eitherside. It's a calm image, and with the use of gold highlighting the windows of buildings just brings the art to life

LONDON BARBICAN

A fun location if you're interested in brutalist architecture. I wanted to hone in on the detail but in keeping with the abstract element so I chose to remove certain areas and was left with this

SPRING LIFE

I love to photograph nature especially animal life. The use of gold was to follow the track that the bird made to arrive central in the image

FARM HORSE

In this piece, I felt that the detail was key, there needed to be lots of clear visuals to capture the elegance of the horse. Then. as always, used the gold to break up the overall image
